This is a true story from Japanese Embassy in US!!!
A few days ago the Prime Minister Mori was given some basic English conversation training before he visits Washington and meets president Obama….
The instructor told Mori Prime Minister,
When you shake hands with President Obama, please say ‘ how are you?’
Then Mr. Obama should say, “ I am fine and you?” now you should say “me too” Afterwards we, translators, will do the work for you.”
It looks quite simple, but the truth is ….
When Mori met Obama,
He mistakenly said “who are you?” (Instead of how are you?)
Mr. Obama was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humor:
“Well, I am Michelle’s husband, ha-ha…”
Then Mori replied “me too, ha-ha…”
Then there was a long silence in the meeting room…
Very funny isn’t it? Can you remember any similar story… well then share it with us!
Cheers

Hi Teacher.
First of all, happy world women day to you.
Of course english is a bit difficult language. you have always repeat and repeat. lucky you. cose you always can practice. First I wanted to learn English,I had silly mistakes such as adresses, colors, even I could not distinguish diference between Mr and Mrs! And even now I realy ashamed because of these mistakes that I prefer never explain about. I will try to learn more and never have shame in english!

In kids class we ask them try not to forget to say "sorry,I`m late."
Once Sara told me that a session after having shopping lessons and teaching "sorry, how many?" one of her students who was late, knocked the door, opened it and with a raised hand said:sorry how many?
The class burst into laghter.
Hi dear Mahsa
What an interesitng entry ! It made me to laugh ( after a very hectic work day ) . Im must confess I do have done lots of this silly mistakes and I do it now , too but I don't think English is a difficult language to learn , do you think ? I don't know why , but I think it 's too fluent and nice to my ear , When I hear other languages I hate most of them . Maybe I love Englsih becuase I know it more than other languges , what do you think ?
